 Ok tripod for the price January 7, 2009
You get what you pay for when it comes to tripods (and almost everything else). Mine broke after 8 months.br /br /Prosbr /- Highly adjustablebr /- Crank is pretty smoothbr /- Built in level indicatorbr /- Inexpensivebr /- Tilts verticallybr /br /Consbr /- Mostly plasticbr /- A little lightbr /- Can be tricky to get things perfectly levelbr /- Hinges are small and weakbr /br /The hinges that connect the legs to the main shaft is the weak point. One of the hinges snapped on my with very moderate use.

I bought this tripod for my fiance for Christmas. She has said it works great with her camera and helps her a lot.

Well, after reading the reviews I did not expect a Home Run, but for the price paid for this tripod and having in mind that I was looking for a beginner tripod, the product is OK.br /br /I went out (rough trip) with this tripod on my shoulder and it is very light, and it was intact after getting back to home. My only concern is some cheap plastic parts and a unbalanced head that needs to be adjusted.br /br /If you are a casual photographer or you're looking for a home tripod, this could be your option.br /br /br /

Product arrived neatly packed. I was pleased with it. It is very versatile and can be extended to a great heighth. The only thing that detracts is the tighening bolt for the main camera platform. It can't be locked down as tight as I would want. This allows it to slip if much force is put on it, so you have to be careful when using it to keep the camera in place or to not strip out the bolt when tightening. You just have to remember that it can only be snugged up so much and that's it. Otherwise I'm very pleased with this unit.
