Good for its purpose January 9, 2009 Purchased this for our Nikon SLR. Great delivery and quality. The rubber zipper grips are nice features if one is wearing gloves. The solid bottom (weather proof) is another feature I appreciate.
Too Small for Large Cameras December 16, 2008 Don't buy this pack if you're carrying a D300. In fact, it's almost too small for the D90. This is for tourists with small cameras. I think Nikon/Amazon should publish a disclaimer about the size.
Great backpack! December 16, 2008 I purchased this backpack for my Nikon D40 and it worked great for this camera. I carried the body w/lense, two other lenses, and a SB-600. There was also room for all my cables and filters. Backpack offers alot of protection and I felt comfortable with my camera in it.
Not what I want as a semi-profi December 14, 2008 The backpack is very well made and sure looks nice on your back but it not practical at all!! First of all virtually NO DSLR camera would fit in to the upper pouch, unless you would put the BODY ONLY in there and that is only for DX frame camers since my D700 would not fit there at all. Also the lower pouches gives home to only limited number of lenses and if then especially small lenses, like standard 50mm -85mm or small midrange sooms. Also the Laptop pouch is not big enough for my Mac-Book-Pro. I will try to sell it on eBay and get a Lowepro Vertex 300. You get what you pay for!!!!
Nikon Logo says "Steal Me I'm a valuable Item" December 12, 2008 I recently used my backpack on a business trip. Luckily I didn't take my camera kit but used my bag to hold some water, snacks and a couple of books for the flight. After boarding I took what I needed out of the bag and had to stow it several seats forward of my seat in the overhead compartment as I already had my work laptop stored under the seat in front of me. When we reached the west coast and parked at the gate the bag was missing. Of course the flight crew saw nothing and wouldn't stop the passengers to look for it. They did make a half-hearted announcement. So I wasted two hours filling out a police report and a claim with the airline. My advice, buy a bag that doesn't have "Please Steal Me I'm valuable" prominently displayed on the back flap for everyone to see.
