PERFECT FOR THE AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHER November 29, 2008 This camera takes exceptional pictures. Very sharp. The Auto Focus is abr /life saver. It is light and very easy to handle. It has editing which really comes in handy for the amateur photographer. This camera is perfect for portraits weddings.I love it!!I tried four other cameras, (the Canon, the Rebel,) and this one is by far the best in picture quality. If you looking for a Amatuer's Camera.....br /THIS ONE IS IT!!!
Great camera, amazing photos November 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I won't go into what makes this camera a good buy as every other reviewer has said it all, I will just say I highly recommend this camera, especially for beginners who want professional looking photos.
Fantastic Intro to DSLR November 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Nikon D60 has proven to me to be a fantastic beginner's DSLR, while it can hardly be labeled a beginner's camera since it is more than capable of running with the higher models. It does, however, lack some of the features that give the more expensive brands their appeal, and high price tag. br /br /For what you get with this model; high quality photographs, durability, small and lightweight body; the price is unbeatable. The difference in quality from the D60 and the higher level DSLRs can only be seen if you have already mastered the techniques of digital photography, and are looking for the next step. I would not recommend a newcomer to DSLR photography puchasing anything much higher than the D60 to start with, otherwise you may be wasting money that could be put towards a more powerful lens.br /br /The D60 has proven it's durability to me in the field, as I have dropped it on the ground and worst of all, fell into a stream with it around my neck in Yosemite National Park. I dried it off and it was like new. Excellent quality.br /br /If you would like to see what kind of photographs I have been able to shoot with my D60, check out my photostream on Flickr. Just look for Nick Chill!br /br /Enjoy!
D60 does the job! November 24, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The D60 has been the best bang for my buck! I definitely recommend this camera for anyone wanting to get into the Digital SLR field without paying an arm and a leg for it.
