Amazon.com Product Description Lensbaby specializes in camera lenses with unique focus mechanisms, and the Composer is no exception. Designed for Nikon F-mount digital SLR cameras, the Composer--which offers a focal length of roughly 50mm--is based on a ball and socket configuration that delivers a smooth selective focus with unparalleled ease. To use, simply tilt the lens to move the sweet spot, and then focus with the Composer's unique barrel mechanism, which automatically dampens the focus action as you approach infinity. Because the Composer stays in the desired bent position without requiring a locking mechanism, it's possible to focus the lens with one hand. And should you need to keep the Composer from moving during an extended shooting session, you can lock the lens in place by rotating the locking ring. This locking feature makes the lens ideal for studio photography or other applications where you want longer or repeated exposures. p The Composer also makes it easier to focus on objects at intermediate and distant depths than regular manual focus lenses, as it requires more rotation to move the optic as you approach infinity. Equipped with a double-glass optic, the Composer features a maximum aperture of f/2 and a minimum focusing distance of roughly 18 inches. p bSpecifications/bbr ul liFocal length: About 50mm liOptic: Double glass, multi-coated optical glass doublet liFocus type: Manual/fingertip liAperture type: Interchangeable, magnetic aperture disks liApertures: f/2, f/2.8, f/4, f/5.6, f/8, f/11, f/16, and f/22 liMinimum focus distance: About 18 inches liMaximum focus: Infinity liMount: Nikon F liAutomatic light metering: Yes, in aperture-priority mode, except for Nikon D40, D50, D60, D70, D70S, D80, D90, D100, N50, N65, N70, N75, and N80 liDimensions: 2.25 inches in diameter and 2.5 inches long liWeight: 3.7 ounces /ul
