Product Description Retro Touch-Thru (T2) case by ivyskin is the first of its kind to provide a hard screen shell over the iPod Touch. This German designed material is second to none on the market today! Enables you to navigate the iPod's screen with the hard scratch resistant shield. ivyskin has designed and manufactured the all new T2 case from scratch by using the latest technology available in crystal case manufacturing. Another breakthrough from a company that always thinks outside the box. Surface Xylo Wave (SXW) technology passes ultrasonic waves that pass over the touch screen panel and transfer them to the iPod's screen without any interferences. When the panel is touched, a portion of the wave is absorbed. This change in the ultrasonic waves registers the position of the touch event and sends this information to the iPod's screen for processing.
Amazon.com Product Description--Posted August 18, 2008 The Retro Touch-Through (T2) is a one of a kind case. Never before could you navigate your iPod touchscreen through a hard, scratch resistant shield. The breakthrough is made possible because of ivyskin's new Surface Xylo Wave technology, which allows ultrasonic waves to pass over the case and through to your touchscreen without interference. When a change in the ultrasonic wave registers the position of the "touch event," the information is sent immediately to your screen for processing. In other words, it's now possible for a hard polycarbonate case to completely enclose and safeguard your iPod touch without performance interruption. It doesn't get any better than that.

Awesome November 14, 2008 yes, this case covers your entire ipod with a clear hard plastic shell, even your screen....crazy right? you dont have to mess with sticking the flimsy plastic thing on your screen, and being irritated because of the air bubbles. this thing rocks, you can still use the screen, it is very well built, and fits perfectly on your ipod, buy it!
Good innovation BUT April 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The case is nice but the front part that covers the screen is poorly glued, mine fell off within 20 minutes. I wouldn't recommend this case. I hope this helps.
highly recommended April 14, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
When I first saw the description of this case I didn't understand how the touch through was possible. The phone functions on projected capacitance. The case described using ultrasonic technology. Aren't these two different things? The truth is the case is coated with a special material that conducts an electrical current. Confusing? It certainly was for me. In simple language, buy the case. Put it on your phone and you'll soon understand what all that stuff is talking about. The design and materials used to create this case really works. The case is barely visible, and when using the touch screen through the case you wont even know it's there. Of course you may notice the screen stays clean longer and wipes off easier. Not to mention less worry over scratches. You wont regret buying this case. In fact you will probably start recommending it to all your friends.
My first choice in a case April 14, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
One feature from the iPhone that attracts so many is a screen made from glass, hard to scratch right? Yet so many iPhone owners complain that there screen is full of tiny scratches. These scratches interfere with the image quality, which for me is quite frustrating. The best solution is to cover your screen to protect it. I prefer a simple, easy to use case that wont inhibit my phone, cloud the screen, or look bulky. The XYLO T2 is just that. This case is super slim, and form-fitted like no other case I've seen. It is perfectly clear so the screen looks the same with or without the case. The case is ultra thin, yet durable. All things considered the XYLO T2 case meets every expectation I have for a protective case. It is my first choice in protecting my phone.
