Good quality sound, but lack of bass output makes it sound dull June 4, 2008 I have personally used Creative speakers for over 10 years now and I have no doubt to beleive that creative speakers are some of the best in the market.br /br /This little speaker is no exception - good clarity of sound in a small package. But, that is until I heard it side by side with a logitech speakers of more or less the same cost ($20) that come with a subwoofer (Bass) - simply said put a huge amount of difference in the sound output with/without the bass.br /br /I returned the speakers and went with the Logitech R-20.br /br /To see for yourself, buy this speaker and any other decent speaker with the Bass from Best Buy/Circuit City, plug in both the speakers one after the other and see for yourself.br /br /It is very easy to get emotional speakers as soon as you get great music streaming from your computer - but I would suggest that you compare and see for yourself before you take a dive.br /br /But for $15-20 this speakers are great as long as you are willing to compromise on the Bass.
Strong Sound April 23, 2008 Very nice Sound I downgraded from a 2.1 logitech with sub woofer (going to the family pc to watch streaming movies) for my desktop. Now it sounds good but without a sub the bass loss is very significant. Good sound though for $9.99 (clearance out at Target), and very good for $20 and is marginally better looking than a similar logitech system. I do basic gaming and moderate music and movie listening and these are wonderful. I don't think beyond $30 for these though, but to pay anything under is much better. Face plates did bring a little life to a somewhat bland desk too. If you want to spend more money than $30 look for a sub based system in my opinion.
GOOD QUALITY March 18, 2008 I am very pleased with my purchase. The quality of the sound is good, so pretty much you get for what you pay. Overall, if you are looking for some speakers for your desktop or laptop this is the way to go. They're great for my room but if you want something louder then spend more money.
Surprisingly nice sound February 17, 2008 I picked up a pair of these at Circuit City for twenty USD today. Then I saw them at Target for forty. When I got home I found them for thirty-five sixty-three here Amazon.com. So I got a great price for them.br /br /They sound pretty good. I have one on each side of my 24-inch Gateway LCD. The stereo separation is nice and yet, somehow, the sound feels like it's coming right out of my monitor -- dead center. So I'm pleased.br /br /Now I won't be limited to the weak volume of my MacBook Pro internal speakers.
