Cheap price, cheap sound November 22, 2008 I'm not any kind of speaker expert, but these were fuzzy and won't play with any volume. I put in an audio card which helped slightly on the quality of the sound, but they are still pretty soft. I will probably buy some better speakers.
Logitech X-240 2.1 Speakers (Purchased on 09/30/2008) November 3, 2008 These are fine for the price. I played several vinyl albums through my ION on the speakers and got no particular hiss or pop, but did get good sound at medium volume.
Great Speakers November 2, 2008 These speakers are great for the price. The sound quality is great and the bass is really deep bass. The only problems I have is that they crackle every once and a while. Other than that, they are flawless.
Good Speakers November 2, 2008 The sound quality coming from this set of speakers is really very good. I like to listen to classical guitar music and after a few tweaks and adjustments I got what I feel is decent sound for set of $35.00 speakers. I have no complaints about that at all. I like being able to play my iPod through them while leaving it connected to be charged. The speakers are attractive - slim, and black and go well with my desktop. The subwoofer sits under my desk and away from my big feet and adds a very nice quality to the overall sound. br /br /My two complaints led me to giving them only 3 stars despite their good sound. My first complaint is that the iPod docking station was a pain to put together. It took quite a while to figure out how to assemble it despite reading the directions. Also, as another review has noticed, I can hear people talking faintly through my speakers when they are turned low. And no, I'm not schizo. I first thought it was people talking to each other in my neighborhood street outside my window, but as I leaned in closer to one of my speakers I could hear a woman talking through it. It sounded like a radio show, or a phone call. Weird. I was not connected to the internet but playing a rather boring game with the sound effects turned low. Maybe I was picking up signals from the TV set downstairs, who knows - there's so many different types of signals flying around now days. It's not happening now although they are still on so I don't know what's causing it. I hope this won't become a consistent problem because it was rather annoying. br /br /Other than those complaints the speakers are quite nice. They can get very loud which my previous computer speakers could not do. The sound is not distorted too much when at full volume but the plastic case does buzz and vibrate some. But, I was just testing them and don't plan on using them full blast volume. I wanted something which I could clearly listen to mainly classical guitar since I record myself playing and need to carefully hear what I just did. I have listened to some of my previous recordings through them and feel these speakers do a good job clearly sounding the timbre and other natural sounds made by a classical guitar. It's not recording studio quality, but for a home recording I'm o.k. with them.br /br /
satisfied October 30, 2008 i like the speakers, but i just wouldnt say it has an ipod dock. theres a base were u can sit it but its not practical an it becomes a mess of cables. But i did like teh speakers, has good bass, but i would like that u could move around a little more the satelite speakers, everything its permanenrly connected to the subwoofer, so again, its a mess of cables when you tried to move it
