First of all, I've been reading a lot of negative reviews because of the 4th generation's new feature called Cover Flow. Everyone who was upset with it can now calm down, Apple just came out with a new patch version 1.0.3 which allows you to turn on/off the Cover Flow feature, problem solved!! I love my 4th generation iPod now. I upgraded from a first generation nano and I must say I am really impressed with how this one looks, it's beautiful

It is what you'd expect. It holds your music and videos. It plays your music and videos. The battery life isn't what I expected - figure about 3-4 hours of uninterrupted music playback. I expected that with the videos, but figured music would last longer. Maybe it's the color screen? Maybe I got one that doesn't have a good battery? Who knows.br /br /And the only way to charge it seems to be by plugging it into the computer via its USB cable. Prior to this Nano, i had a 4th gen iPod classic (the one RIGHT before they introduced color screens). that one came with a plug-in charger. I wish these new ones still had that...

This is a great product. It protects my iPod and enhances the appearance. It is not bulky and does not significantly increase the size of the iPod. It also comes with a clear plastic screen peotector. Another plus is that since it is made of rubber, it it makes the iPod less "slippery". It's easier to grip and will even stay in place on your dash (provided that you're not an aggressive driver). I highly recommend this product.

this is my 6th portable digital music device so far, and i tried to avoid ipods because they always got bad reviews for mal functioning and lacking features. this on is a different story. not only is this ipod the thinnest ipod ever made (you can stop here, apple, any further and it will vanish), its made smart, and so far its a very good buy for me. unlike everyone thinks that cover flow cant be turned off, it can. instantly after i connected my ipod to itunes a new firmware offer came up, and one of the updates was an option to turn off cover flow, among other things.br /br /+ prosbr /-incredibly thin. i cant even tell its in my pocketbr /-aluminum casing and glass screen offer excellent scratch resistencebr /-very lightbr /-very competitive pricing - 16 gb for what the nano offers is an excellent dealbr /- accelerometer - this adds a few fun touches to operate without pressing buttons, is very useful for rotation on the screen when viewing pictures or watching videos. games are now actually very interestingbr /- screen claritybr /-simplicity of usebr /br /- cons br /ITUNES- aS usual itunes is very frustrating and needs redesignedbr /- battery life- slightly below average for me so far, no big deal thoughbr /-everything is automated - when i put the headphones in the jack, or disactivate the hold button, it shouldn;t automatically turn on.br /br /overall a big improvement compared to other ipods ive seen. the pricing and compactness, features and ease of use stand out. (get the 16 gb if you really want movies, or go for the classic or touch) i give it ****. for now
