 2G upgrade Great for ASUS 1000h notebook November 30, 2008
easy to snap out 1G that came with ASUS, snap in replacement. notebook recognized new board immedately.
 1GB problem with EEE PC 1000 November 28, 2008

I bought a 2GB memory module and returned it after the PC saw only 1GB, then I found the reviews here that mention the BIOS update. At this point, I have updated the BIOS from 7.02 to 8.03. Here are the instructions:br /- download the ROM file from ASUS (in my case, 1000_ASUS_0803.zip)br /- extract the 0803.ROM filebr /- rename the 0803.ROM file to 1000.ROMbr /- format a USB stick to FAT or FAT32br /- copy the 1000.ROM file to the USB stickbr /- insert the USB stick into the EEEbr /- boot the EEE and repeatedly press ALT-F2br /- this starts the EZ-Flash utility and updates the BIOS.br /I gave the product three starts because I don't know yet if it will work.br /

works great.. and a good buy... had a bit of trouble putting in eee 1000ha due to bent clip.. but after 30br /seconds.. loaded and recognized well by clicking biosbr /first.. an eee issue... all and all, memory 2gb worksbr /great and excellent value.

I bought this memory module at the same time as I bought a Eee notebook computer. I performed the 1GB memory replacement with the 2GB SODIMM easily. br /br /The most confusing part was getting the computer and operating system to recognize the presence of the additional memory. It required a boot into the BIOS to let the hardware recognize and update plug and play info. br /br /On the Eee computer, using F2 on a cold restart did the job. No manual changes were made to the BIOS. The process was automatic. A simple save and exit following the bootup did the job.
Does not work with the new Eee 901 Sakura Red November 18, 2008

Just making this review for those who have purchased the new Sakura Red or green Asus Eee 901's. They have a different pinn set. I do not know what memory works with it yet, but every site says it fits, but the pins are clearly on the short side of the memory card, not on the long side as this product. br /br /Fits my mothers Dell mini great, works great.
